I cannot see Workflows, Admin, or the Developers Playground
Some items in the left sidebar and the account menu only appear for certain roles, and a few only appear outside the production environment. If you cannot see one of them, this is expected behavior, not a fault.
Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”One or more of these are missing from your workspace:
- Workflows V2 in the left sidebar
- Automations in the left sidebar
- Report in the left sidebar
- Integrations at the bottom of the left sidebar
- Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar
- Developers: Playground at the bottom of the left sidebar
- The Admin entries in your account menu: Admin: Companies, Admin: Plays experts, Admin: Global workflows, and Admin: Credit packages
Everyone keeps Home, Agent Training Center, Agents, Accounts, Contacts, Notifications, the Knowledge base link, and Log out.
Why this happens
Section titled “Why this happens”The sidebar builds itself from your role and the environment you are in. Roles are managed under team settings and shown there as Evergrowth admin, Admin, Salespeople, and Read-only. Each gated item has its own condition:
- Automations, Integrations, and Settings require a full editing role. The Evergrowth admin and Admin roles have it. The Salespeople and Read-only roles do not, so these three items are hidden for them.
- Report is shown to the Evergrowth admin, Admin, and Read-only roles. It is hidden for the Salespeople role.
- The Admin entries in your account menu require the Evergrowth admin role. No other role sees them.
- Workflows V2 requires the Evergrowth admin role and a non-production environment. It is hidden for everyone in production, and hidden for every other role everywhere.
- Developers: Playground is non-production only. It never appears in production, regardless of role.
So a missing item is either a role you do not hold, or a surface that is intentionally absent from the production workspace. It is not a bug, and refreshing or signing out and back in will not bring it back unless your role or environment changes.
How to fix it
Section titled “How to fix it”- Confirm which role you hold. Open your account menu in the bottom-left of the sidebar; if you see the Admin entries, you hold the Evergrowth admin role. If you do not, your role is one of the others.
- Match the missing item to its requirement using the list above. If the item needs a role you do not have, that is the cause.
- If you need a role with more access (for example, to reach Settings, Integrations, Automations, or the Admin entries), ask a workspace administrator to update your role under team settings. See Manage your team and Roles and access.
- If you are looking for Workflows V2 or Developers: Playground and cannot find them, note that these do not appear in the production workspace at all. There is nothing to enable; they are non-production surfaces by design.
